Finally February!

So I've been beavering away at the latest shop remodel and am pleased to say that it is slowly but surely coming together. On top of that is of course getting through designing and scripting new items as well. I've been on a creative whirlwind and again find myself grateful for the patience and loving support of my significant others. Here is the low down on some of the things I'm working on to date :

February strikes me as a season where romance and love is in the air and one of the new things that I have been working on are a series of cakes and cards with heartfelt messages. Done in partnership with Beyonkah of Sherbert, these feature her lovely figurines and toppers which I love because of their diversity.

I've also made simpler option cake along the same sentiment :

 

And a series of cards with plushies also created by the very talented Beyonkah!

These are made to be modifiable and transferable for the gifting season and the plushies all come with an AO friendly Bento hold.

With more to come soon including a hunt that I'm participating in as well as this week's steal of the week! But for now - Tata!

Confetti | Art

These are a little problematic to demonstrate given my limited skills with videography!

What is fascinating in virtual space is the ability to create immersive experiences which unfortunately aren't quite as easily captured in a third party onlooker sort of way.

These are specially created to work in Secondlife ® as a space in which you can experience what it is like to stand under a sky filled with a profusion of raining hearts that form "prismatic" rainbows like actual rain; or "feel" the weight of words as they tumble to the ground around you.

 Wow , already we're almost a month in. 

Sorry for being a little quiet but I've been busy trying to get my shop in some semblance of order! I am pleased to announce that it is getting there after some hard graft and saintly forbearance by my significant others!

I've made so much stuff of late, which I am excited to share with you!

Starting with ...

Our Perfect Wedding Cake

These cakes are graced with the cute character toppers made by Beyonkah from Sherbert . I loved her characters so much that I got in touch and am delighted to be doing some collaborations with her for some "in the near" future projects which will be revealed in time! 

Making this project was a trip down memory lane for me and I recall my own experience with ordering a wedding cake and how I wanted it personalised to reflect the couple that my partner and I were. 

That inspired me to want to give that same experience to other people. 

Why shouldn't you have your perfect fantasy wedding cake in a medium where the only limit to what you can have is your imagination?

With "Bridezilla"esque attention to detail, I hope these sweet creations inspire you too!

New year - New you!

The end of 2020 sees me looking back on this historic year with much to reflect on. There might probably not be a year as looked forward to as the upcoming one although in my own life - there's still much more upheaval to come what with Brexit etc...

One of the things I've decided to do is to choose a direction in which to go with what I've been doing with my creations on SL and I've found a theme in all the things that I've ever made, I've always loved detailing and can often get quite obsessive about the tinniest and finnickiest things! I also prefer graphic aspects to creation much more than modelling. For this reason, I absolutely adore reimagining other people's creations and giving them a unique and creative spin of my own. I think that's kind of like a sort of introverted creative brainstorm.

So with all this in mind, I've decided to rebrand. Starting with Oddfish's logo.

Fish will always be personal to me and a head nod to the person who helped me get started in it all although with this rebranding , I will be dropping a lot of the old inventory to concentrate on my new interests which are mainly to do with celebration , event planning and decor.

I've gone for a really simple logo type and icon this time :

Dropping "Studio" from the logo itself.

Keeping the brand simple and identifiable

Using visual play of icon 

in combination with type.
